The first Paul Bunyan event was in 1991. Since then the Bemidji, MN event has been held annually on Lake Bemidji at the Paul Bunyan Waterfront Rotary Pavilion. This event has become an enduring event for the town of Bemidji. Bolstered by several local civic organizations and community sponsors, this opportunity has swelled its numbers year after year, with an ever increasing number of enthused anglers and volunteers involved.
