New Rockford
Warsing Dam Recreation Area was built as a result of a cooperative venture between a Federal Aid Project, Eddy County Commission, and the N.D. Game and Fish Dept. The area is currently managed by Eddy County and offers visitors a place to picnic, camp and enjoy the water. Located very close to the continental divide separating the Red River from the Missouri watershed basins.
This body of water had a hard winterkill in 2019. Northern pike, perch, and bullheads were sampled after the kill with northern pike stocked to provide anglers with fish after the winter kill.
