Description

"Long Lake is a clear, spring fed lake that is 80’ at its maximum depth. It’s said that anglers can actually watch fish bite because the water is so clear. Rainbow trout fishing provides a challenge for even the experienced fisherman. Minnesota DNR manages the lake as a “two-story” trout lake, stocking the lake each year with over 14,000 rainbow trout yearlings. That means that the trout live in the deeper, cooler depths and other fish live in the shallower, warmer waters. Long Lake is not a designated trout lake. A Minnesota trout stamp is required to fish it, however a trout stamp is not needed if you catch & release. You can also find large northern pike, large-mouth bass, sunfish and crappies.  Fishing boats are available to rent. A fishing license may be purchased at the camp store as well as trout bait and night crawlers. A handicap accessible fishing pier provides a great place for young and old alike to cast a line searching for those trophy catches.  Many nearby area lakes provide wonderful walleye fishing." taken from http://longlakepark.com/fishing
